  • Take the PSAT! It is a valuable way to see what skills you can improve before taking the real thing.
  • Register for AP exams.
  • Start gathering necessary documents for financial aid.
  • Visit colleges and work on application essays. (See the 'Tips For Writing Your College Essay'  tab)
  • Make a list of colleges that you plan to apply to.

WINTER

  • Organize your testing schedule for the Spring.
  • Visit local colleges on weekends and breaks.
  • Begin contacting mentors about letters of recommendation.

SPRING

  • Take AP exams.
  • Explore your scholarship and financial aid opportunities thoroughly.
  • Meet with me to create a schedule for your senior year.
  • Begin working on your applications if possible.
  • Try your hardest to visit or call colleges that are of high interest to you.
